Beginning his career at then-Utica College in 1979, Dr. Thomas Rossi is currently in his 46th year of teaching.

A longtime member of the Utica University faculty was recognized this fall for his contributions to education and dedication to his students.

Professor Thomas Rossi was among the honored inducted into The Genesis Group’s Hall of Distinction at the 18th Annual Celebration of Education, held at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro, New York on Thursday, November 21.

Beginning his career at then-Utica College in 1979, Dr. Thomas Rossi is currently in his 46th year of teaching. As a Professor of Management within Utica University’s School of Business and Justice Studies, he instructs online and in-person courses in Organizational Management, Human Resources, Labor Relations, and Collective Bargaining.

In 2019 he was awarded the 45th Dr. Virgil Crisafulli Distinguished Teaching Award.

Dr. Rossi received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from King's College (PA), a Master in Business Administration from Monmouth University (NJ), and Doctorate in Business Administration from Northcentral University (AZ) with a specialization in Human Resources Management.

He is accredited as a Professional of Human Resources, and holds memberships in multiple professional organizations, including Mohawk Valley Human Resources Management and the Society of Human Resources Management.

Dr. Rossi is a contract negotiator for the American Association of University Professors, advisor to the Utica University student organization of the Society of Human Resources Management, and advisor to the Men's Football and Men's Baseball teams at Utica University.

The Celebration of Education program serves as a platform to celebrate and honor the remarkable educators and educational programs within the Mohawk Valley community.

The Genesis Group began in the year 2000 with a purpose of uniting business and community leaders into working together to advance regional economic, social, and cultural interests through fostering unity and cooperation among community leaders.
